about

THE BUNGALOWS …

For Gerringong four-piece The Bungalows, the last few years has seen many kilometres spent touring up and down the Pacific and Princes Highways, making many good friends and fans along the way. Utilising their laid back South Coast attitude and a steadfast confidence, has put The Bungalows on an exciting journey, playing with great bands and enjoying the rock ‘n’ roll, balanced with the peace of mind that only a dreamy coastal town can offer.

The 2011 summer saw the boys enter BigJesusBurger in Sydney to record their new studio album ‘Monkey Mountain Road’ with talented Producer, Burke Reid (The Drones, Mess Hall, Liam Finn). Capturing songs that speak about brotherhood and good times, The Bungalows present an exciting mix on their first studio album.

Over time the hope is that more people will be exposed to this record, allowing audiences to see The Bungalows are all about positive energy and good vibrations. And in these strange times ‘Monkey Mountain Road’ may just be the right remedy for fans looking for something with more soul and less spin, or better still it may even be the South Coasts breakthrough album that everyone has been waiting for.

Enjoy.

Track Name: HYPOCRITES
HYPOCRITES

Well I never said I wouldn’t walk around while my head’s not on, yeah
So don’t you ever run away and I’ll pretend its all ok again
I said one more so please don’t hide
But you’ve gone and lost your mind again
And all I ever want to know but it’s too late I’ve got to go

But in this state of mind I was not there
Hypocrites and parasites
Yes I’m aware, it’s gone

Working 9 to 5 don’t seem to keep me in control
Every day we seem to be little bit more close

But in this state of mind I was not there
Hypocrites and parasites
I like to share, it’s gone

I never said I wouldn’t change my mind to suit my hair, yeah
So don’t you ever run away and ill pretend its all ok again

Working 9 to 5 don’t seem to keep me in control
Every day we seem to be a little bit more close

So they tell you now it’s the only way
And it’s like before it’s you who’s going to pay
And we all know now everything they say is fucking lies
And they said come home, but no, no not today
Track Name: KILLER
KILLER

So you’re breaking away
Because you know you can’t win
From a crumbling nation that is covered in sin
You need a vacation, the weather is dry
The killer was me, yes the killer is I
There’s hope on the sidewalk
Yes a bucket of rain
As the minutes turn over
There ain’t nothing to gain
The muted magician with the wondering eye
Tells the crowd to capisce, you can’t run and hide

The sun is in the sky but there’s nowhere left to play
We need another expectation
All my life, it’s all the same
What could all this mean? I know.

So that you know that it’s out there
But it cannot be seen
And you wanted to feel it but you know she ain’t keen
What’s on the inside, what could you know
Everything’s easy boy you got to let go
So come down from the mountain, yes and into the sea
Your fortification or your own enemy
Take it or leave it, stop wondering why
The killer was me, yes the killer is I

The sun is in the sky but there’s nowhere left to play
We need another expectation
All my life, it’s all the same
What could all this mean?
I don’t know
It’s like the whole world runs away
